My friends proud moments.
Today, I asked my friends what they were most proud of, for a malakilani teaser! My friend Imogen said she was proud that she got the courage to go on a giant roller coaster, apparently it was terrifying! My friend Camryn said she was proud that she finally came first in the speech compotion! I am most proud that I had the courage to sign up for netball this year. Share in the comments what your proudest moment has been this year!

If I were principle for a week...
If I were principle week, I would make school day start at twelve am, and end at three pm. This way, kids have more time with family, and have a great sleeping schedule, and are ready to learn.
If I were principle for a week, I would give everyone free time for thirty mins a day, because why not?
If I were principle for a week, I would give everyone one hour of arts time, so they could unleash there creativity!
If I were principle for a week, I would make sure that people only wore mufti! This way, its easier for people on a budget,
If I were principle for a week, each classes agenda would look something like this:
12:00: Get of bus.
12:10: hour of art.
1:10: zumba.
1:30: prodigy.
2:00: free time.
2:30: Maths/writing/reading.
3:00: home time!

Night market!
Finally after all of the hard work, the night had come! It was market night! Me and Max had been making bath bombs the whole term, and finally we could sell them!
We made four different types... lemongrass, rose, sunset, and lavender! When I arrived, the stall was set up, and max was standing behind it! The sun was shining, and everyone seemed happy! I was very excited. Our first customer arrived, We exploded with joy! They took all of the rose bath bombs though! After a few people came and brought stuff, max's mum said she could look after our stall for a bit.
I brought some cake pops, and two ginger beers, one for me, and one for my mum, as she was working at a stall! Then, me and my friends took a group photo at charlies stall, After that we rushed into the book far, so Max's mum didn't get grumpy at us for being so long! I got two glittery rubbers, In the colours purple and pink, and in the shape of cute little bears! Then we walked along the stalls! I brought a sling shot, a couple bath bombs, and a wheat bag.
Over all market night was really fun! Thanks to all the family's of Ouraiti school for helping out!

Action world!
On Monday the 2nd, the classes: Puriri, kauri, and manuka, got on a bus and rode of to action world in paihia! Me, Camryn, Max, and Imogen were lucky enough to go in Michelle's car, so we had a peaceful trip.
When we arrived, The wind was quit strong. We were all terrified from the massive slide, and trapeze. After a while of waiting for the bus, everyone arrived safely. When we were aloud we all ran into the large arena like a stamped... Like, no joke, i'm pretty sure some one even fell over!
After we got all the instructions, and health and safety worries, we got the all clear. First, our instructor took us to the wobbly ladder, I found it really funny, for some reason, I like could not stop laughing!? Next, He took us to the slide... And, yes, you guessed it! I was way to scared to go down it. After that, we went to the small trapeze. I loved it! All I did was grab on, and jumped down! Then we went off to get changed for the water slide! I did it twice, then got to cold to do any more! After that we went on the small tight rope, to get ready for the big tight rope! I did it with ease, but fell of half way.
Finally we had free time! Me and my friends ran around the obstacles doing them bit, by bit. I got really hot so my mum brought me a Popsicle. (thanks mum) Then I finally got the courage to do the slide. Me and Michelle made a promise that if I did it, she would too! It was insane! My face looked like I ate a rotten Brussel sprout. Overall I had such a fun time, and our hard work payed off!

Tessellations.
Today for maths, we had to make tessellations, and explain them. Mine is a rotational symmetry to the order of on, and is symmetrical down the middle.
My year 2019!
For cyber smart, our task was to make a slide show, with all our favourite things added into it. So, heres mine! :)

Logo design!
Recently in class we have been talking about, vertical and horizontal lines. For insentience, Whea Meg showed us a label she made, including vertical and horizontal lines! She then gave us the task to make our own! After A couple of tries, I can up with a small label, with a vertical line, right through the middle! It stands for "Manuka market" / Don't mind it looking like a pickle!

the magical magic show!
''Poof!'' He said as flowers appeared out of no where. ''wow....'' The crowd was impressed.
It was Vas kovalski's time to shine, we were lucky to have had our principle organise the magician to come to our kura.
''Hello Oruaiti school!'' He shouted to us. ''Today, I will be teaching you how to be bright, and eat right.'' He showed us some magic tricks with food... He made some disappear, and some reappear.
Vas, talked to us about our plates, which are what we eat, and what is right for our body. He even put a iron man costume, with vitamin stickers stuck onto it, on a student.
Even though the show was about being healthy, he made it super fun, as he had a few pranks within the magic. My favourite was the tomato sauce bottle with red string in it, that he was spraying at students.
He could make paper turn into a living bird, and a rubix cube turn into dice! It was pretty magic.
Next time, I would recommend, the show to be shorter, and for him to practice a little more, as it was sometimes a bit obvious he wasn't actually doing the magic himself.. Overall the show was a highlight of my term.

Bike ridding, in the hot Aussie sun.
My holiday was zooming past. it was already my third day! We decided it would be a perfect day to ride bikes in the Aussie sun. We woke up at 8am, and left at 9am. We called an Uber, and drove to the bike shop, where my dad got an electric bike, my sister got a normal bike, and mum and I, shared a bike, with 2 seats! It was difficult, but we got used to it. Whilst we were biking, I got super burnt! I qualified as a tomato. We biked to a large lake, hopped in our togs, and went for a swim! It was a bit scary, because I thought I saw a eel, but it was just a log! After that, we got changed and biked back to a surf club for lunch. I got calamari, and a cheese pizza! The food was.... average. Then we biked back to the bike shop, and put the bikes back! When we arrived we called a Uber, and drove to where we were staying. When we got back, we hopped in the heated pool, and ate raspberry's!

Pet day!
Pet day was approaching, I was nervous, I hadn't finished all of my work for the day! After a while of stressing I had finally finished it all, like, my bird art, my landscape portrait, my box diorama , my spelling poem, my pet poster, my fish pond game, and my vege animal! My favourite item overall was my vege pet! I made a little hedgehog, and named him... Bubbles! I actually wanted to keep him, BUT he would have gone mouldy! :(
The day approached quickly! First we watched a couple of virtual pet videos! There were some really cute animals! Then we went back to class to see the certificates! I won none! Maybe next time? Next we went to set up our games! Me and my friend max, had a fish pond game. It was a little hard to play, yet really fun! Basically, you have a fishing rod, and there is a tub with some cardboard fish, with hooks, and you try catch the fish! Every fish you get, is the same as one ticket! Then, with the ticket or tickets you win, you go to the prize shop! I also loved the food, there was various items to enjoy. Like... nachos, hot chips, home baking, cold drinks, and ice blocks! Tasty! I got hot chips, a brownie, and a sprite! :)

fight layer! :)
First, I started out not loving my story, so I added a lot more detail, and this is how it turned out.
In the future, I would definitely make a realistic story, not a video game.
Feel free to comment feedback, or to play the story! :)

Our bird art.
Last term we started to make our bird art work for production. We cut pieces of coloured paper, and glued them to black paper to create a bird. It was annoying when the glue got all over my fingers. Plus, it took a term and a bit to finish! I'm not to proud of this, but it's OK. Next time, I will try not rush as much. This is my artwork...

Learning Together! (school science)
Did you know, there a three states of matter: liquid, solid, and gas!? Well, I didn't' either until today, whilst we were making Oobleck with Mrs Evans. If this sounds interesting, here is how you make it.
What you will need:
a bowl.
a spoon.
cornstarch.
water.
food colouring, (optional)
and 1 cup (for measuring)
And that's all! Its simpler than it sounds.
And that's all! Its simpler than it sounds.
Add 1 cup of water, into the large mixing bowl. then add a drop of food colouring. I suggest, if you would like... a bit of blue and a little purple make a light purple colour. Its better not to have a measurement for the corn starch. So just add it bit by bit, I also suggest that you mix it while adding. then when it gets harder, its normally ready. And just like that, your done! Its super fun to play with, until it goes mouldy.

Mini Movie Making!
On Friday, our class started making mini movies.
We were learning to compose different types of shots.
We were learning to follow a story board.
We were learning to work in a group, and work as different roles.
Our group was successful with working together and sharing ideas.
The thing I found most difficult was writing the script.
Next time I would like to make the movie a little longer.

Kia kaha kiwi, production.
This term was our school production, KIA KAHA KIWI. We practised practically two times each day, until the day. Our costumes were ready and so were we.
"Break a wing birds!" We said back stage of our production. My heart was racing and thoughts were rushing through my head. What if I forgot my lines? What if I fell over? What if someone laughed at me?
It was finally time to walk on stage, weirdly all my fears had disappeard. I said my lines and before I knew it, the production was over. We did the chicken dance, and sang our school song. It was over. Now that I think about It, I spent so much time being nervous over nothing.
Here's a tip. If you have something coming up, like: a production, cross country, etc. Don't stress about it. your wasting your time.
2 stars & a wish:
I loved all the costumes and face paint.
The night tied together amazingly.
I wish it could be longer, next time.
